Description
Malt Agar medium is a non-selective multipurpose medium for cultivation of numerous fungi. Lowering the pH of the medium below 5.5 results in the inhibitionof bacteria and permits good recovery of yeasts and moulds. Growth of bacteria can be reduced by the addition of antibiotics.
