Description
VERITY® GPC Cleanup System with optional VERITY® 1741 UV-VIS Detector
GPC Cleanup is a size exclusion cleanup procedure that uses organic solvents for the mobile phase and a specialized column packed with a divinylbenzene-styrene copolymer. The most typical packed phase is BioRad’s Envirobeads® SX-3 resin, packed into a glass column with the mobile phase of interest. Stainless steel and other columns specific for GPC cleanup are also available. GPC cleanup is performed after sample extraction and is thus a post-extraction cleanup method. This method is recommended for the post-extraction elimination of lipids, polymers, copolymers, proteins, natural resins, cellular components, and other high molecular weight compounds from the analytes of interest.
