Description
Salmon-XGlcA is an alternative substrate for ß-D-Glucuronidase (GUS) encoded by the gusA gene. Cleavage via hydrolysis of Salmon-Red-X-GlcA by GUS results in the precipitation of a water insoluble Salmon -precipitate at the site of enzymatic cleavage. In conjunction with X-Gal, Salmon-X-GlcA is useful for simultaneous detection of GUS and Lac -activities on the same plate. For more de-tailed information see X-GlcA.
